Senior Open Championship goes to Dane Tudor and Crystal Wright!

Final results - check it out here!

The Senior Open Championship completed at Mt. Roberts! The venue can only be described as thin, due to avalanche work completed on the upper part of the entrance. Regardless of the conditions, the stoke amongst the athletes was definitely high and each athlete selected the most difficult and technically challenging line they could find, because they simply wanted to KILL it. The field this year was dominated by the young as Dane Tudor took the trophy in his inaugural Senior Open. Many referenced the Ledcor Canadian Open as the "Dane Tudor Show", and it couldn't be further from the truth. Dane Tudor dominated the entire event with a comfortable margin of more than 10 points.

For the females, Crystal Wright fought for her trophy fairly and squarely, taking it right out under the nose from Karolina Ekman and Crystal-Rose Lee. This year's female contigient was one of the strongest that the Open has ever seen and next year should only prove to be better!

Junior Championship goes off

Ledcor Canadian Open Freeskiing Championship Junior Final Results

The Junior event went off! Even with fogged over conditions and power issues on qualifying days bogging down the event, all of the little groms were stoked to show their stuff. The winners for each age category all deserved to win. For the tender age of 7 to 11, Robyn Sansom took the female trophy, and Garrett Capel won the male category. Budding up into the ages of 12 to 15, Annalise Manley took top honors for the girls, as well as Brodie Evans for the boys. Finally, the piece-de-resistance, the skiers that ski so well that they should be in the adult category - the 16 to 18 year olds. Alex George won the women's category with a final score of 51, and Colston Beaston won the men's category with a final score of 61.

Congratulations to all! Our media sponsor, Biglines.com, has a webcast of the Junior championship here, be sure to check it out!
